Lucca: multi-purpose park in Massa Pisana

The new multi-purpose park in the hamlet of Massa Pisana (Lucca) is an area designed to offer innovative and inclusive spaces dedicated to sports, play and socializing, with a focus on sustainability and the use of high quality materials.

From a functional point of view, an attempt was made to differentiate what was a single large platform into three distinct areas: a multisport one, dedicated to basketball and football, an intermediate one for children’s play, and a third more versatile one for aggregation and skating.

The surfaces of the two-colour multi-sports area and the multi-purpose area were paved with high-performance acrylic resin, ideal for basketball, five-a-side football and skating.
The play area, equipped with a double swing, a slide, two spring-loaded games, and a combination game, was paved with EPDM rubber of such thickness and quality as to guarantee fall safety.

In the multi-purpose park in Massa Pisana (Lucca) it was also planned to plant new trees belonging to the lists of Italian flora species recognised by the scientific community, consistent with the ecological characteristics of the planting site and guaranteeing their adaptability to the conditions and pedoclimatic characteristics of the site.
