A look at the climbing walls built by Sint Roc over the years, including competitive and non-competitive gyms, throughout Italy and abroad.
Sint Roc, sports climbing Made in Italy

The new boulder in Arco (Tn) – Federal Centre
Sint Roc, one of the first companies in the world to have built artificial climbing structures, and market leader in Italy and beyond, can testify to the spread of facilities supporting the almost 100,000 members of the Italian Sport Climbing Federation.
With the presence, for the second time, of sport climbing among the Olympic sports at Paris 2024, the attractiveness of the sport has been consolidated to the extent that new climbing walls continue to multiply throughout the country, from gyms to playgrounds.
The history of modern climbing began at the end of the 1980s, and has been consolidated here with the start of the annual RockMaster event which still takes place in Arco, in the province of Trento, a town which can be defined as the ‘Home of Climbing’ par excellence: and it is no coincidence that it is precisely in Arco that Sint Roc was founded, founded by Angelo Seneci who has also been the technical director of Rock Master since 1987.
Last September saw the signing of the handover of the completely renovated Federal Centre in Arco (Tn), which will be the site of all the technical activities of the National Teams and will also be fundamental for athletes from the various regions, who will be able to come here to train under the guidance of the federal coaches.
Sint Roc is proud to be part of the great FASI Federal Centre modernization project: after the first historic towers in the early 1990s, after the new climbing stadium in 2000, with the new competition bouldering wall and indoor training rooms Sint Roc is once again part of climbing history in Italy.
Not only competitive climbing
As a result of the success that the sport of climbing enjoys with the public, Sint Roc is also involved in many projects for the construction of walls in environments other than competitive gyms.
This is the case of the bouldering gym under construction in Bolzano for the Oberalp Group, on the second floor of the Waltherpark: a 4-metre high space, for a total of 1,200 square metres, 850 of which are dedicated to bouldering, plus various other spaces such as those for children.
A climbing tower will also be built for the Sports Centre of the University of Genoa.
In Trieste, on the other hand, a new urban playground is being built, which includes a climbing wall that is also accessible to children.
While in Polistena (Reggio Calabria), a climbing tower will be built in the context of the redevelopment of a river area.

Sports hall in Longarone (Bl), Pino Daniele sports centre in Caivano (Na), Sportler in Silea (Tv)
Among Sint Roc’s first realizations in the 1990s, the gymnasium at the Palasport in Longarone (Belluno) was completely renovated in 2024. The new sports climbing gym is a success and has become a tourist attraction: inaugurated in April, it has more than 1,500 users per month and over 40% come from outside the province.
The new structure is 14 metres high and has a horizontal development of 37 metres, for a total of over 440 square metres of climbing panels. It is completed by a 34-metre wide and 4.9-metre high boulder for about 177 square metres of climbing, with a mattress along the entire development. In addition, there is a variable-tilt kilter board, consisting of a steel profile frame, moved by a system consisting of two hydraulic pistons, an electrical control unit and a control panel that allows the panel’s inclination to vary between 16 and 60 degrees. The panel has a vertical development of 4.5 metres with a width of 3.6 metres.
The climbing wall realized by Sint Roc for Sport e Salute in the context of the redevelopment of the Delphinia Sports Centre in Caivano, now dedicated to Pino Daniele, is worth mentioning for its social value.
Sint Roc other achievements in recent months include temporary walls at the Trento Sports Festival (10-13 October 2024), facilities in Nembro (Bergamo), Borso del Grappa (Treviso), Peio (Trento), Albino (Bergamo) and a new outdoor facility at the Sportler Climbing Center in Silea (Treviso), as well as the new indoor bouldering walls at the Gilching Climbing Centre (Germany).
