Dalla Riva Sportfloors has produced parquet floorings for more than 40 years, and this long tradition – born at a time when sports parquet was still little used – has allowed the company to clearly identify itself on the market, building a well-established presence in Italy and abroad.

From neighbourhood arenas to university basketball, there are more than 2000 gyms built by Dalla Riva Sportfloors in over 2000 municipalities, with 1.4 million square metres of parquet supplied from the north to the south of the Italian peninsula.

Over the years, the company has worked to perfect its products and make them safe and comfortable for all athletes, from schoolchildren to A-list professionals: Dalla Riva Sportfloors today guarantees the highest quality, professionalism, and safety.

But that’s not all: the company’s strength also lies in the availability of a highly experienced in-house technical staff capable of providing continuous and highly professional assistance.

The company’s aim has always been to provide quality flooring, starting with school gyms of all levels, which allow students to take part in physical activity and local associations to organise courses and competitions.

The quality of Dalla Riva Sportfloors is also chosen everywhere by sports excellences, in Italy and abroad: 75% of the A1 teams and 70% of the A2 basketball teams are served by Dalla Riva parquet; an exceptional result of great professionalism.

Today, Dalla Riva is a FIBA technical partner and all the floors are FIBA level 1 certified for international competitions – even those used in the majority of school gyms.

To give some examples, the recent flooring work at the Levante waterfront palace in Genoa stands out (discussed in Tsport 362, in this article), the new Portable Gold parquet for the Reyer Venezia’s Taliercio, the one installed last February at the Inalpi Arena in Turin – a full-panel floor covered with solid parquet that recalls traditional parquet – and the court installed for Virtus Bologna.

Official Court Partner of Virtus Bologna, Dalla Riva installed in December 2024 the Portable Cup, a FIBA homologated removable parquet that boasts not only high performance but is also of great scenic impact, with the colour declined in shades of black and grey that recall the corporate colours.

The look of the floor installed for Virtus, elegant and impressive, is a highly appreciated peculiarity – which follows the trend already present for some time in the USA with the NBA: the court is increasingly a stage on which the show takes place and becomes part of it, making itself iconic and recognisable, perfectly matching the club and its distinctive colours.

This is a removable full-panel Dalla Riva Sportfloors parquet, with a patented coupling system, which guarantees exceptional resistance to wear, deformability and changes in temperature and humidity. In addition, it can be assembled and reassembled in just a few hours with the certainty of a consistently accurate installation.

The floor guarantees perfect rebound in competition, the same as it endures in laboratory conditions, guaranteeing the precision performance of top-level athletes. The surface grip is crucial for player safety and performance.

Portable Cup boasts FIBA Level 1 and EN 14904 certification for sports surfaces and has passed all 7 tests: shock absorption, vertical deformation, vertical ball bounce, friction, wear resistance, specular gloss, rolling load 1500N.
